EXHAUST(H4DOTC DIESEL) > Catalytic Converter and DPF
1. Immerse the exhaust temperature sensor and a thermometer in water.
CAUTION:
Make sure that water does not get into the exhaust temperature sensor connector. Completely remove any water inside.
2. Raise water temperature gradually, and measure the resistance of exhaust temperature sensor 1 and 2 connector terminals when the temperature is at 50°C (122°F).
NOTE:
Agitate the water for even temperature distribution.

1. Check the connections and welded parts for exhaust leaks.
2. Make sure there are no holes or rusting.
