FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS)(H4DO 1.5) > Intake Manifold

INSTALLATION

1. EXCEPT FOR 2.0 L EURO 5 MODEL

1. Install the intake manifold onto cylinder heads.

NOTE:

Use a new gasket.

Tightening torque:

25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

2. Connect the fuel delivery hose (A) and evaporation hose (B).

NOTE:

If fuel hoses or clamps are damaged, replace them with new parts.

Tightening torque:

1.25 N·m (0.1 kgf-m, 0.9 ft-lb)

3. Connect the connector to the knock sensor.

4. Connect the EGR pipe to the intake manifold.

Tightening torque:

34 N·m (3.5 kgf-m, 25.1 ft-lb)

5. Connect connectors (A) to the ignition coil and remove with the clip (B).

6. Connect the connector to the secondary air combination valve.

7. Connect the connector to oil flow control solenoid valve.

• LH side

• RH side

8. Connect the connectors to camshaft position sensor.

• LH side

• RH side

9. Connect the connector to the engine coolant temperature sensor (A), oil pressure switch (B) and crankshaft position sensor (C).

10. Slide the front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector and rear oxygen sensor connector in the direction of the arrow to install them to the bracket.

11. Connect the connector to the front oxygen (A/F) sensor and rear oxygen sensor.

12. Connect the connector to the power steering pump.

13. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose.

• LHD model

• RHD model

14. Connect the PCV hose to intake manifold.

15. Connect the engine harness connector to the bulkhead harness connector, attach it to the rear engine hanger, and fasten with bolt.

Tightening torque:

6.4 N·m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

16. Connect the engine coolant hose (A) to throttle body.

17. Install the air intake chamber and intake boot.

18. Connect the battery ground terminal.

19. Lift up the vehicle.

20. Install the under cover.

21. Fill engine coolant.

2. 2.0 L EURO 5 MODEL

Install in the reverse order of removal while being careful of the following.

• Connect the quick connector as shown in the figure.

CAUTION:

• Check that there is no damage or dust on the quick connector. If necessary, clean the seal surface of the pipe.

• When connecting the quick connector, make sure to insert the pipe all the way in before locking the slider.

• When it is difficult to lock the slider, check that the pipe is fully inserted.

• Make sure that the quick connector is securely connected.

NOTE:

• Use a new gasket.

• If fuel hoses or clamps are damaged, replace them with new parts.

Tightening torque:

T1: 6.4 N·m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

T2: 19 N·m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

Tightening torque:

6.4 N·m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

Tightening torque:

25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

Tightening torque:

1.25 N·m (0.1 kgf-m, 0.9 ft-lb)

3. MULTI-FUNCTION DUCT ASSEMBLY (2.0 L EURO 5 MODEL)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE:

• Use a new gasket.

• The oil pressure switch harness must be positioned to be within the range of a 45° angle on either left or right toward the rear of the vehicle.

Tightening torque:

1.5 N·m (0.2 kgf-m, 1.1 ft-lb)

Tightening torque:

6.4 N·m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

Tightening torque:

16 N·m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 ft-lb)
