1.CHECK CURRENT DATA.
2) Read the data of “Deviation between DPF inlet and outlet pressure” using the Subaru Select Monitor.
NOTE:
For detailed operation procedures, refer to “READ CURRENT DATA FOR ENGINE”.
Is the data of “Deviation between DPF inlet and outlet pressure” 107 kPa (802.6 mmHg, 31.6 inHg) or more?
Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE:
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
2.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND DPF PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL SENSOR CONNECTOR.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect the connectors from ECM and DPF pressure difference sensor.
3) Measure the resistance of harness between ECM connector and DPF pressure difference sensor connector.
Connector & terminal
(B135) No. 37 — (E133) No. 3:
(B135) No. 13 — (E133) No. 2:
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Repair the harness and connector.
NOTE:
In this case, repair the following item:
• Open circuit in harness between ECM connector and DPF pressure difference sensor connector
• Poor contact of coupling connector
3.CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND DPF PRESSURE DIFFERENTIAL SENSOR CONNECTOR.
Measure the voltage between ECM connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B135) No. 37 (+) — Chassis ground (−):
(B135) No. 13 (+) — Chassis ground (−):
Is the voltage 5 V or more?
Repair the short circuit to power supply in harness between ECM connector and DPF pressure difference sensor connector.
4.CHECK FOR POOR CONTACT.
Check for poor contact in ECM connector and DPF pressure difference sensor connector.
Is there poor contact in ECM connector or DPF pressure difference sensor connector?
Repair the poor contact of ECM connector or DPF pressure difference sensor connector.
Replace the DPF pressure difference sensor.
