STEPCHECKYESNO

1.CHECK REAR FOG LIGHT RELAY POWER SUPPLY.

1) Remove the rear fog light relay.

2) Measure the voltage between rear fog light relay connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

RHD model

(B225) No. 10 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

LHD model

(B225) No. 31 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

Is the voltage 10 — 13 V?

Check the clearance light & illumination light system.

2.CHECK REAR FOG LIGHT RELAY.

Check the rear fog light relay as a single part.

Is relay OK?

Replace the relay.

3.CHECK HARNESS.

1) Install the rear fog light relay.

2) Measure the voltage between body integrated unit connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B279) No. 18 (+) — Chassis ground (−):

Does the voltage change from 8 V or more → less than 1.5 V, when the headlight switch is ON and rear fog light switch is ON.

Temporary poor contact occurs.

4.CHECK HARNESS.

1) Remove the rear fog light relay.

2) Disconnect the body integrated unit connector.

3) Measure the resistance between body integrated unit connector and rear fog light relay connector.

Connector & terminal

RHD model

(B279) No. 18 — (B225) No. 11:

LHD model

(B280) No. 18 — (B225) No. 32:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

Repair the open or shorted circuit of harness.

5.CHECK HARNESS.

Measure the resistance between body integrated unit connector and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal

(B280) No. 13 — Chassis ground:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

Replace the body integrated unit.

Repair the open or shorted circuit of harness.
