Start the engine and check that the opening screen is displayed.
Standard: Opening screen is displayed.
OK: Normal.
NG: If not displayed, check the power supply connector wiring on the backside of the navigation system main body. If wire connection is correct or has got repaired, check again that the opening screen is displayed.
If it is not displayed at this time, it indicates the navigation unit trouble.
After opening screen is displayed, press «Agree» key to switch to the map screen.
When a screen other than the opening screen is displayed, press the «MAP» key.
Standard: The map screen should be displayed.
OK: Normal.
NG: If map screen is not displayed, any of the followings may be the cause.
• DVD-ROM is not set in the navigation system main body.
• DVD-ROM is inserted upside down.
• Wrong DVD-ROM is in.
• DVD-ROM has scratches or something.
If there are no problems on the DVD-ROM, the main body is defective.
If any fault is not found by checking with “CHECK NAVIGATION OPERATION” and “CHECK DVD-ROM” described above, check the navigation system circuit. 
4. SWITCH TO CONNECTION CHECK MODE
1. Press «Audio» key, display the audio OFF screen.
2. Touch the screen in the order of (1) through (6) shown in the figure below.
3. Dealer Diag Menu screen comes on.
• CHECK GPS ANTENNA
NOTE:
When checking the GPS antenna, perform the check operation outdoors to improve the receiver sensitivity.
1. On «Dealer Diag Menu» screen, touch the item {Vehicle Signal Info.}.
2. Make sure that «Connect» is displayed in item of GPS Antenna.
Connect: Normal
NC: Abnormal Check the connection of GPS antenna.
• CHECK BACK SENSOR
NOTE:
Before inspection, make sure that the area behind the vehicle is safe, and turn the ignition switch to ON.
1. On «Dealer Diag Menu» screen, touch the item {Vehicle Signal Info.}.
2. Apply the parking brake, depress the brake pedal, and set the shift lever to Reverse position.
3. Make sure that “ON” is displayed in the Reverse item.
ON: Normal
OFF: Abnormal If there is no fault found after checking the signal line connector, main body may be faulty.
• CHECK ILLUMINATION
NOTE:
Before inspection, turn the ignition switch to ON.
1. On «Dealer Diag Menu» screen, touch the item {Vehicle Signal Info.}.
2. Turn the lighting switch to the first position.
Make sure that the bright switch is not ON at this time.
3. Make sure that “ON” lights in the Illumination item, then the screen fades out.
ON: Normal
OFF: Abnormal If there is no fault found after checking the signal line connector, main body may be faulty.
• CHECK SPEED SENSOR
NOTE:
• Before starting inspections, inspect the safety around the vehicle.
• Lift up the vehicle as necessary.
When vehicle speed signal is input with the vehicle lifted, DTC is detected in VDC CM. Therefore after servicing, perform Clear Memory of DTC.
1. On «Dealer Diag Menu» screen, touch the item {Vehicle Signal Info.}.
2. Move the vehicle 2 — 3 meters (6.6 — 9.8 ft) slowly.
3. Make sure that “ON” is displayed in the Speed item.
ON: Normal
OFF: Abnormal If there is no fault found after checking the signal line connector, main body may be faulty.
