BRAKE > Brake Pedal
CAUTION:
• Install the stop light switch according the following procedure.
• Do not install the stop light switch before step 2). Installing the stop light switch before step 2) may result in the switch falling off, remaining illuminated constantly, or an illumination fault.
1. Install the bolt and nut which secure the brake pedal bracket.
Tightening torque:
18 N·m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.0 ft-lb)
2. Remove the clevis pin and snap pin that are securing the operating rod and brake pedal.
NOTE:
• Use a new clevis pin.
• Apply a thin coat of KOPR-KOTE (Part No. 003603001) to the clevis pin.

3. Check that the switch clip (LHD: gray, RHD: green) is securely installed to the brake pedal bracket.

4. While pulling the brake pedal towards you, insert the stop light switch until it reached the stopper (brown) on the brake pedal side. Turn the stop light switch clockwise to install.

5. Connect the stop light switch connector.
6. Check the brake light illumination.
