COOLING(H4DO 1.5) > Thermostat

INSPECTION

If the thermostat valve does not close completely even when it becomes ambient temperature, or if a problem is found in the following inspection, replace the thermostat.

• Inspection method

Immerse the thermostat and thermometer in water. Raise water temperature gradually, and measure the temperature and valve lift when the valve begins to open and when the valve is fully opened. Stir the water during the test to make the water temperature even throughout. The measured values must meet the standards.

NOTE:

• Leave the thermostat in the boiling water for five minutes or more before measuring the valve lift.

• Hold the thermostat with a wire or the like to avoid contacting with container bottom.
