KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS) > Subaru Select Monitor
1. READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
2. Prepare the personal computer which has been installed the Subaru Select Monitor.
3. Connect the SDI (Subaru Diagnostic Interface) to the PC USB port (exclusively for Subaru Selector Monitor) using a USB cable.
NOTE:
The dedicated port for the Subaru Select Monitor means the USB port which was used to install the Subaru Select Monitor.
4. Connect the diagnosis cable to the SDI.
5. Connect the SDI to the data link connector located in the lower portion of the instrument panel (on the driver’s side).
6. Start the PC.
7. Turn the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF), and run the “PC application for Subaru Select Monitor”.
8. Call up DTC and data, then record them.
NOTE:
For detailed operation procedure, refer to the “PC application help for Subaru Select Monitor”.
1. On the «Main Menu», select {Each System Check}.
2. On the «System Selection Menu», select {Smart Key System}.
3. On the «Smart Key System», select {Control Module Name} displayed.
4. The selected {Control Module Name} will be displayed. Select {OK}.
5. Select «Current Data Display & Save».
6. Using the scroll key, scroll the display screen up or down until the desired data is shown.

1. On the «Main Menu», select {Each System Check}.
2. On the «System Selection Menu», select {Smart Key System}.
3. On the «Smart Key System », select {Clear Memory}.
4. Click the [OK] key after the information regarding engine type has been displayed.
5. When “Clear Memory?” is shown on the screen, click the [YES] button.
6. When “Done” and “Turn ignition switch OFF” are shown on the display screen, turn the ignition switch to OFF.
NOTE:
• Initial diagnosis of electronic throttle control is performed after memory clearance. For this reason, start the engine 10 seconds or more after the ignition switch was turned to ON.
• For detailed operation procedure, refer to the “Subaru Select Monitor help file”.
5. FUNCTION SETTING (ECM CUSTOMIZING)
1. Connect the SDI to data link connector located in the lower portion of the instrument panel (on the driver’s side).
CAUTION:
Do not connect the scan tools other than the Subaru Select Monitor.
2. Start the PC.
3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF), and run the “PC application help for Subaru Select Monitor”.
4. On the «Main Menu», select {Each System Check}.
5. On the «System Selection Menu», select {Smart Key System}.
6. On the «Smart Key System», select {Collation ECM} to execute.
7. Click the [OK] button after the control module name {Collation ECM} is displayed.
8. On the selected «Collation ECM», select {Function Check}.
9. On the «Function Check», select {Drive Item}.
10. Select the desired function on the «Drive Item», and click the [Next] button.
11. Select [NO] to exit the drive item mode. The screen will return to the «Drive Item» screen.

10. Select the desired function on the «Drive Item», and click the [Next] button.
11. Select [NO] to exit the drive item mode. The screen will return to the «Drive Item» screen.
