LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS) > Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
Malfunction occurs such as open or short circuit in wake-up communication line between gateway CM and body integrated unit.
TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
Keyless access system operation may not be normal. (Only model with keyless access)
WIRING DIAGRAM:

1.CHECK DTC.
Connect the Subaru Select Monitor and read all DTCs.

Are DTCs B2002, B2001 and B2000 displayed?
|
Perform the diagnosis according to DTC.
|
|
2.CHECK CURRENT DATA.
Display current data «BD_wake line status» of gateway CM using Subaru Select Monitor.
|
|
|
|
3.CHECK CURRENT DATA.
Display the current data «Smart wake-up input» of body integrated unit using Subaru Select Monitor.
|
|
|
|
4.CHECK HARNESS.
1) Disconnect the connectors from body integrated unit and gateway CM.
2) Check for continuity between body integrated unit and gateway CM connector using tester.

Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
|
5.CHECK HARNESS.
Check the continuity between body integrated unit connector and chassis ground using tester.

(B281) No. 14 — Chassis ground:
(B279) No. 28 — Chassis ground:

Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness.
|
|
6.CHECK HARNESS.
1) Connect the gateway CM connector.
2) Check the continuity between body integrated unit connector and chassis ground using tester.

7.CHECK HARNESS.
1) Disconnect the gateway CM connector and connect the body integrated unit connector.
2) Check the continuity between gateway CM connector and chassis ground using tester.

Replace the body integrated unit.
