• The PSD motor rotates in normal/reverse directions based on signals from the PSD control module. The PSD motor rotates according to voltage control signals, which accelerates/decelerates the sliding speed of the sliding door.
• Sliding doors open/close by pulling of the wire connected to the center roller, which moves via motor drive force.
• Signals from the check switch and speed sensor are output to the PSD control module.

• The drive gear rotates (1) by motor drive force, rotating the driven gear (2). As the clutch pin is set in the groove of the driven gear, the clutch moves outward (3) and engages with the clutch gear. Then, as the clutch gear is integrated with the pulley, the pulley rotates (4) to wind the cable.
• When the main switch is turned off (PSD system not operating), the motor does not operate, and the clutch does not move outward and does not engage with the clutch gear. Therefore, the pulley only rotates according to manual operation to wind the cable.
• When the sliding door is slid by a switch or handle assist operation and, after the sliding door movement is completed, the drive gear rotates in reverse direction as an initial operation to release the clutch.
• When the clutch is moving (during engagement or return), the electromagnetic brake activates to hold the speed sensor gear. Because the speed sensor gear and the clutch gear are engaged, the pulley does not rotate, preventing sliding door movement caused by clutch movement.
• When the main switch is turned off (PSD system not operating) during PSD system operation, the initial operation is not conducted and the sliding door stops with the clutch engaged. Therefore, the sliding door needs to be slid forward and rearward manually to release the clutch.
• The clutch gear and the speed sensor gear are engaged, and the speed sensor gear and the speed sensor are interlocked. Due to this, the speed sensor outputs signals to the PSD control module according to the pulley rotation (sliding door movement).
• As the pulley is engaged with the cam, the sliding door movement is linked with the cam rotation. The check switch turns on/off according to the cam rotation to output the sliding door position to the PSD control module.
