KEY INTERLOCK INSPECTION

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

2. Shift the selector lever to R position.

3. Verify that the ignition key cannot be turned to LOCK position.

4. Shift the selector lever to P position.

5. Verify that the ignition key can be turned to LOCK position.

• If there is any malfunction, perform the instrument cluster input/output check mode. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INPUT/OUTPUT CHECK MODE.)
