HOLD SWITCH INSPECTION [JA5A-EL]

Operation Inspection
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Verify that the HOLD indicator light is not illuminated. Press the HOLD switch and verify that the HOLD indicator light illuminates.

• If there is any malfunction, inspect the terminal voltage of the HOLD switch.
Voltage Inspection
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Measure the voltage at the HOLD switch connector.

• If there is any malfunction, inspect for continuity at the HOLD switch.(See Continuity Inspection.)

Continuity Inspection
1. Disconnect the HOLD switch connector.
2. Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

• If the switch is normal, inspect the wiring harness. (HOLD switch-TCM, HOLD switch-Body ground.)

• If there is any malfunction, replace the selector lever component. (See SELECTOR LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
