Transaxle Removal Note

Warning
• Verify that the transaxle is securely supported by the jack. If the transaxle falls off, serious injury or death and damage to the vehicle could result. Before removing the transaxle, make sure that the transaxle is securely supported by a jack.

1. Support the engine using the SST.

2. Support the transaxle on a jack.

3. Remove the transaxle mounting bolts.

4. Remove the transaxle.

Transaxle Installation Note

Warning
• Verify that the transaxle is securely supported by the jack. If the transaxle falls off, serious injury or death and damage to the vehicle could result. Before installing the transaxle, make sure that the transaxle is securely supported by a jack.

1. Set the transaxle on a jack and lift it.

2. Align the holes by turning the torque converter.

3. Install the transaxle mounting bolts.

Nut 1, 2, 3: 66.6-93.1 N·m {6.8-9.4 kgf·m, 49.2-68.6 ft·lbf}
Bolt 4: 85.3-116.6 N·m {8.7-11.8 kgf·m, 63.0-85.9 ft·lbf}

No.1 Engine Mount Installation Note

Caution
• Align the transaxle bolt holes with the engine mount exactly. Any misalignment can result in bolts and bolt holes becoming damaged or stripped during installation.

1. Use the SST (engine support) to make sure that the transaxle bolt holes and No.1 engine mount are aligned.

2. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

Tightening torque
66.6-93.1 N·m {6.8-9.4 kgf·m, 49.2-68.6 ft·lbf}

No.2 Engine Mount Installation Note

Caution
• Temporarily tighten the through-bolt of the No.2 engine mount after installing the engine mount member, and then tightening the through-bolt.

Engine Mount Member Installation Note

1. To install the engine mount member, put the No.2 engine mount stud bolts through the engine mount member installation holes.

2. Install the engine mount member bolts A and nut B.

Tightening torque
Bolt A: 63.7-89.2 N·m {6.5-9.0 kgf·m, 47.1-65.0 ft·lbf}
