VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) INSPECTION [JA5A-EL]

On-Vehicle Inspection

1. Disconnect the terminal component No.2 connector.

2. Measure resistance between the terminals A and B.

• If not within the specification, inspect the VSS. (See Individual Part Inspection.)

513-627 ohms

3. Connect the terminal component No.2 connector.

Individual Part Inspection

1. Remove the VSS. (See VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR (VSS) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [JA5A-EL].)

2. Measure resistance between the terminals of the VSS.

• If not within the specification, replace the VSS.

• If it is normal, replace the harness.
