NO.25 ENGINE STALLS WHEN DRIVING AT SLOW SPEEDS OR STOPPING [FN4A-EL]


25	Engine stalls when driving at slow speeds or stopping
DESCRIPTION	• Engine stalls when brake pedal is depressed while driving at low speed or stopping.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	• The malfunction is in engine control system (e.g. Fuel injection control, IAC system). Otherwise, the malfunction is in the control valve body, shift solenoid E or TCC.


STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	Go to No.10 "LOW IDLE/STALLS DURING DECELERATION". (See NO.10 LOW IDLE/STALLS DURING DECELERATION [L3].) Is the engine control system normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection results.
2	Go to No.5 "ENGINE STALLS-AFTER START/AT IDLE". (See NO.5 ENGINE STALLS-AFTER START/AT IDLE [L3].) Is the engine control system normal?	Yes	Repeat the basic inspection and repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection result. (See BASIC INSPECTION [FN4A-EL].)
2		No	Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection results.
