REAR SHOCK ABSORBER AND SPRING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

• Performing the following procedures without first removing the ABS wheel-speed sensor may possibly cause an open circuit in the harness if it is pulled by mistake. Before performing the following procedures, remove the ABS wheel-speed sensor (axle side) and fix it to an appropriate place where the sensor will not be pulled by mistake while servicing the vehicle.

• Be careful when using the jack to avoid damaging the brake pipe and hose.

1. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

2. Install in the reverse order of removal.


1	Brake caliper component (See Brake Caliper Removal Note.)
2	ABS sensor harness bracket (with ABS)
3	Rear shock absorber (See Rear Shock Absorber Removal Note.)
4	Coil spring
5	Upper spring seat rubber
6	Lower spring seat rubber
7	Bound stopper

Rear Shock Absorber Removal Note

1. Support the lower torsion beam axle using a jack, and jack up the torsion beam axle until the shook absorber is free.

2. Remove the shock absorber.
