• The PCM calculates the target fuel pressure based on the engine speed and the fuel injection amount.

• To obtain the target fuel pressure in the common rail, the PCM drives the suction control valve in the supply pump using a duty signal.

• Optimum fuel injection pressure is constantly assured by the control of the fuel pressure feed from the supply pump to the common rail and control of fuel pressure within the common rail.
