SPARK PLUG REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3, AJ]

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the plug hole plate. (AJ engine model) (See TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ].)

3. Disconnect the high-tension lead. (L3 engine model)

4. Remove the spark plugs using the plug-wrench.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

L3: 10-24 N·m {1.1-2.4 kgf·m, 8.0-17.3 ft·lbf}

AJ: 9-20 N·m {0.9-2.0 kgf·m, 6.6-14.4 ft·lbf}
