Front Drive Belt Auto Tensioner

1. Remove the front drive belt. (See Front Drive Belt.)

2. Verify that the drive belt auto tensioner moves smoothly in the operational direction.

•  If it does not move smoothly, replace the drive belt auto tensioner.

3. Turn the drive belt auto tensioner pulley by hand and verify that it rotates smoothly.

• Replace the drive belt auto tensioner if necessary.

4. Install the front drive belt.

Water Pump Drive Belt Auto Tensioner

1. Remove the water pump drive belt. (See Water Pump Drive Belt.)

2. Verify that the drive belt auto tensioner moves smoothly in the operational direction.

•  If it does not move smoothly, replace the drive belt auto tensioner.

3. Turn the drive belt auto tensioner pulley by hand and verify that it rotates smoothly.

• Replace the drive belt auto tensioner if necessary.

4. Install the water pump drive belt.
