NO.25 A/C DOES NOT CUT OFF UNDER WIDE OPEN THROTTLE CONDITIONS [AJ]


25	A/C does not cut off under wide open throttle conditions.
DESCRIPTION	• A/C compressor magnetic clutch does not disengage under wide open throttle.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	• TP sensor malfunction • TP sensor misadjustment • Loosely installed TP sensor


STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	• Does the A/C compressor disengage when the A/C switch is turned off?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Go to symptom troubleshooting "No.24 A/C always on/ A/C compressor runs continuously". (See NO.24 A/C ALWAYS ON/A/C COMPRESSOR RUNS CONTINUOUSLY [AJ] (VIN: JMZ LW19J7# 300001-, JM0 LW10J300 300001-301405, JM6 LW10J300 300001-, JM8 LW28J# 300001-301513).) (See NO.24 A/C ALWAYS ON/A/C COMPRESSOR RUNS CONTINUOUSLY [AJ] (VIN: JM0 LW10J300 301406-, JMZ LW69J7# 307683-, JM8 LW28J# 301514-, JM8 LW28A# 301514- (Assumed)).)
2	• Connect the WDS or equivalent to the DLC-2. • Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (Engine off). • Retrieve any DTCs. • Is "PASSED" displayed?	Yes	No DTC is displayed: • Inspect the TP sensor for proper adjustment.
2		No	DTC is displayed: • Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [AJ] (VIN: JMZ LW19J7# 300001-, JM0 LW10J300 300001-301405, JM6 LW10J300 300001-, JM8 LW28J# 300001-301513).) 3	• Verify test results. - If normal, return to diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. - If malfunction remains, inspect related Service Information and perform repair or diagnosis. • If vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting completed. • If vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace or reprogram the PCM.
