Key ID number does not match

DETECTION CONDITION

• ID numbers stored in immobilizer control module (IU) and PCM do not match. This DTC is indicated only after immobilizer control module is replaced and reprogramming of system.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Transformation of key ID number stored in PCM.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
• Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE.
• Is same DTC present?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Intermittent concern exists. Go to INTERMITTENT CONCERN TROUBLESHOOTING procedure.
Then go to Step 3.

CHECK ENGINE IS STARTING NORMALLY USING ANOTHER REGISTERED KEY
• Does engine start with another registered key?
Yes
Previous key is defective. Discard it.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P1622 COMPLETED
• Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the WDS or equivalent.
• Perform KOEO self-test.
• Is the same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Perform "After Repair Procedure".
• Is there any DTC present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Troubleshooting completed.
