MULTIPLE FUEL INJECTION CONTROL OPERATION [MZR-CD (RF Turbo)]
BME014000140T46
• The multiple fuel injection control has five injection patterns with varying injection frequencies. The PCM selects the optimum injection pattern according to vehicle conditions and performs injection a maximum of five times.
• The main injection is injected in order to secure engine performance.
• The pre-injection is injected in order to improve emission performance.
• The pilot injection is injected in order to reduce noise.
• The follow-up injection is injected in order to improve emission performance.

Operating Condition
• The PCM determines the injection frequency based on the engine speed, fuel injection amount, and signals from each sensor.
• When the engine is started, the PCM calculates the injection frequency based on the engine coolant temperature and engine speed.
