MULTIPLE FUEL INJECTION CONTROL OUTLINE [MZR-CD (RF Turbo)]
BME014000140T11
• To reduce noise and NOx, the PCM injects fuel multiple times, according to vehicle conditions, before and after the main injection.
• With a single injection frequency, the fuel injection amount increases in the period from injection to ignition according to the ignition lag. Due to this, the fuel is burned quickly at high temperature and high pressure, and as a result, noise and NOx are increased.
• In order to prevent this, the PCM injects fuel multiple times. Due to this, combustion is slowed and the rate of heat release is reduced.
