Fiat Croma background information
Fiat Croma is a middle-class car of the Italian car concern Fiat.
First Generation (Type 154), 1985–1996
The first generation sedan was produced from 1986 to 1996. The car was built on the same platform with the Lancia Thema, Saab 9000 and Alfa Romeo 164.
In 1991, the model was upgraded.
In 1996, the production of Fiat Croma was discontinued. The first generation sold 438,000 copies worldwide. Despite decent competition in its class, the first generation of the Fiat Croma did not attract the attention of consumers.
Second generation (Type 194), 2005–2011
Ten years later, at the Geneva Motor Show in early March 2005, the Italian concern presented a new generation of the Croma model in a station wagon body. The car is built on the GM Epsilon platform, as well as the Opel Vectra and Saab 9-3.
The car was produced from 2005 to 2010, but in commercial terms, the model was unsuccessful: instead of the desired 5-6 thousand cars a year for all time sold 1,368 cars.
